join our coaching team

Whether you are just starting your coaching career or you are an experienced leader ready to mentor others, we’d love to meet you.

At Jump Gymnastics, our coaches are the heartbeat of every class. You don’t just follow lesson plans—you turn them into adventures full of movement, laughter, and little moments of magic that help children grow confident, brave, and ready to explore. We develop and guide coaches with patience and energy, model what great coaching looks like, and create a space where families feel welcomed, supported, and part of the fun.

Our Coaching Team is all about showing up, consistently and joyfully, week after week. If you love working with kids, enjoy being active, and aren’t afraid to get a little silly to bring a theme to life, you’ll fit right in.

our coaching team might be perfect for you if…

You love lighting up the gym, leading energetic kids, chatting with parents, and diving headfirst into imaginative play—whether it’s tossing a pizza in Pike, Straddle, or Tuck (if you know, you know!) or guiding tiny ninjas across the beam and through a obstacle course designed just for them. Our best coaches are active, creative, a little bit theatrical, and masters of movement and biomechanics—using their coaching superpowers to help every child move safely, confidently, and joyfully.

what you’ll do

As a coach, your role isn’t just to teach—it’s to lead, inspire, and create magic on the gym floor. You bring gymnastics to life, turning our lesson plans into adventures that get kids moving, laughing, and feeling proud of what they can do. Along the way, you mentor junior coaches, model great coaching, and make sure every child and family feels seen, supported, and excited to be there.

Depending on your experience and training, you will:

  • Lead classes with energy, warmth, and confidence

  • Deliver fun, engaging, and safe gymnastics experiences for every child

  • Spot, coach, and cheer kids on while keeping safety, progress, and participation top of mind

  • Connect with parents iclearly, warmly, and confidently

  • Help create a positive, team-focused culture and keep every class running smoothly

The most successful coaches are those who don’t just follow the plan—they bring it to life, turning everyday gymnastics moments into adventures kids—and the whole team—won’t forget.

who we’re looking for

You’re a great fit if you are:

  • Charismatic, energetic, and confident leading groups of kids

  • Creative and excited about themed lesson plans and movement development

  • Comfortable using imagination, storytelling, and play to engage young children

  • Confident and friendly when speaking with parents

  • A background in coaching, education, kinesiology, or child development

  • A reliable team player who thrives in an active environment

  • Someone known for their reliability, professionalism, and leadership

This role is ideal for those who want to work in child development and movement while working with children.

why coaches love working here

Before I list them all, just know this: we have a long, long list! We'll narrow it down to just a handful, but there's one thing we're especially proud of. Even after decades, our coaches stay connected. Many still stop by just to say hello, and some have been part of our team for decades themselves (looking at you, Coach Bobby!). That says more about our culture than any list of perks ever could. And here’s the list:

  • Canada's leader in preschool coach development. Learn from the best through the country's most comprehensive training program for preschool coaches.

  • Get paid to learn. We invest in your growth with paid training from day one.

  • Turn your passion into a career. Most coaching opportunities are volunteer-based—but not at Jump Gymnastics. Here, you can build a meaningful career doing what you love.

  • Join a team that has your back. We celebrate wins, tackle challenges together, and believe every high five counts.

  • Coach in a space built just for kids. Our bright, purpose-designed facilities are created to inspire movement, learning, and fun.

  • Make every shift matter. Every class is an opportunity to build confidence, spark joy, and create lifelong memories for the children and families we serve.

a day in the life of a coach

It’s 8:30 on a Saturday morning, and the gym is quiet, clean, and full of potential. Within minutes, it will come alive—filled with movement, laughter, and the energy of young children—and you know it will stay that way for the rest of the day.

You arrive with purpose, walking the gym floor and making thoughtful adjustments: lowering rings, setting up stations, fine-tuning each space so it’s just right for the little ones who are about to arrive. You already know your lesson plan, but more importantly, you know how to bring it to life.

As families begin to drift in five to ten minutes before class, you greet each child by name, connecting naturally with both the children and their parents, building trust in those first moments. Shoes and socks come off, little feet step onto the blue carpet of the gym, and excitement begins to build.

When class starts, you lead with warmth and confidence, guiding children through a carefully crafted, 45 minute routine designed just for them—from free exploration to circle time, through skill-based stations and playful games, all the way to a calm, happy goodbye. Alongside you is a junior coach, and you lead them just as intentionally as you lead your class—modeling energy, clarity, and professionalism in every interaction. You offer quick guidance between rotations, demonstrate how to support a child who’s unsure, and reinforce what great coaching looks like in real time. Through your mentorship, they grow more confident, more capable, and more aligned with the standard you set on the floor.

You know this work goes far beyond physical skills; you’re helping children learn to take turns, to listen, to feel brave, and to belong. With your youngest groups, you coach side by side with parents, communicating just as clearly and supportively with adults as you do with their children. As the day flows, you move from one class to the next, bringing the same energy, presence, and care to every group, while continuing to support and develop the coaches around you.

In the quiet moments between classes, you reset the space, take a breath, grab a quick sip of water or a snack, and get ready to do it all again. And when the final class ends and the gym softens back into stillness, you take pride in restoring everything—cleaning, organizing, and setting the stage for the next day—knowing you’ve created something special: a space where every family felt safe, confident, and excited to learn, and where your leadership helped shape not just great classes, but great coaches too.

schedule

Our coaches are at their best when they’re present for the moments that matter most. That’s why this role is centred around afternoons and weekends—the times when our gym is buzzing with energy and our little ones need consistent, caring leadership on the floor.

We’re looking for coaches who are not just available for these shifts, but who are genuinely excited to be there—who thrive in the joy and movement of a busy Saturday morning or a packed afternoon with classes.

Consistency is a core part of this role. Our gymnastics programs run on six eight-week terms each year, and our classes are built around routine, familiarity, and trust—values that extend to our coaching team as well. Coaches are expected to show up reliably for their scheduled classes and lead their classes week after week. This consistency allows you to build meaningful connections with the children and their families, and to witness their growth, confidence, and joy across an entire term—not just in a single class.

This isn’t a role built on picking up occasional shifts. It’s about committing to your schedule, your little ones, and your team, and taking pride in being a steady, dependable presence in the gym.
