Missed a Class? Let’s Talk Makeups!
If you miss a class because of illness, a family trip, or a can’t-miss appointment, you can absolutely book a makeup class! Makeups can be scheduled and used anytime within your current term.
A few tips and tricks:
Switch it up! Try a class at a different facility—North Van, Richmond, or Cambie—and make a day of it. Hit the trails on the North Shore, or swing by IKEA before or after your Richmond class. Why not?
Can’t find a spot? If booking a makeup is making your brain hurt, reach out to our Client Services Team. They know the schedule inside and out and might be able to work a little behind-the-scenes magic.
Real talk… If getting to your regular class already feels like a win, adding a makeup at a different time (and maybe even a different location) can feel like a lot. We love seeing you in the gym—but we also get that life is busy. It’s totally okay to miss a class and skip the makeup. We won’t hold it against you
how to book a makeup class (past absence)
Missed a class already? No problem—here’s how to fix it:
Log in to the Parent Portal → go to Absences & Makeups and find the missed class under “Past.”
Click Schedule Makeup and choose from the available classes.
Hit Submit (and grab it fast—popular classes fill up quickly!).
The system does a final availability check before confirming your booking—popular classes can fill up quickly! If the class is no longer available, you’ll be prompted to choose another. A confirmation message will appear once your makeup is successfully booked.
how to book a makeup class (upcoming absence)
Know you’ll be away? Gold star for planning ahead:
In the Parent Portal, go to your student → Absences → Schedule Absences and select the date(s).
Confirm the classes your child will miss and submit the absence.
Click Schedule Makeup, pick your class, and hit Submit—done!
what if you don’t see any makeup class options for your little one? Here are a few possible reasons:
Popular class times fill up quickly and we are not able to offer make-ups in full classes. When you look in parent portal and there are no options available? That means the class times are full!
A makeup class must be booked at least 12 hours in advance to support our team in preparing for the class. You won’t see makeups in Parent Portal if the class occurs in the next 12 hours.

important notes on makeup classes
Our makeup classes are unique to our program and have a few limitations and conditions.
A makeup class must be booked and attended within the current term but we absolutely do not recommend a makeup class during Celebration and Graduation week (which is the last week of the term) as we only do a portion of our regular class routine and spend time celebrating each little one. It’s tough to attend a class on Graduation and Celebration day.
Makeups can only be taken by presently enrolled students. Once a term ends, you are not able to schedule a make up beyond your last day of class. We are only able to offer currently enrolled students to make up a missed class within the current term.
Families that mark themselves as absent for an upcoming class will make their spot in class available to other students to use as a makeup. Reach out to Client Services to cancel an absence.
