We know that sometimes life gets in the way and your little one can’t make it to their regular class. That’s why makeup classes are a special perk we offer to currently enrolled families when space is available.

There are just a few important things to know about how makeups work.

the two things you need to know first

makeups happen in the same term

A makeup class must be booked AND attended during the same 8-week term in which the original class was missed.

Makeups cannot be extended, transferred, or carried over into the next term — even if your little one is registered for classes in the following term.

For example:

If your little one misses a class during the September–October Term, their makeup must be booked and attended during the September–October Term.

Once the term ends, any unused makeup opportunities expire.

Makeup classes are available during Weeks 2–7 of our 8-week terms.

Makeup booking opens after the first week of classes has finished.

We don't offer makeups during Week 1 or Week 8, and there are some very good reasons for that!

Week 1: Getting settled

The first week of a new term is all about settling in. Our little ones are meeting their coaches, getting comfortable in their new classes, learning the routines and finding their rhythm.

We want to give everyone the opportunity to settle into their regular class before we begin welcoming makeup students.

Weeks 2–7: Makeup time

This is our makeup window!

Once makeup booking opens, you can look for available space in classes at any of our locations.

Week 8: Celebration & Graduation Week

The final week of the term is a little different at Jump Gymnastics.

It's our Celebration & Graduation Week, where we spend time celebrating each little one and recognizing all the wonderful things they've accomplished throughout the term.

We only complete a portion of our regular class routine and make lots of time for celebrating, so Week 8 isn't available for makeup classes.

For the best experience, we recommend taking your makeup during Weeks 2–7 rather than waiting until the end of the term.

how do i book a makeup?

Makeup classes are booked through the Parent Portal, and you can choose from available classes that work for your family.

already missed your class?

Log in to the Parent Portal.
Go to Absences & Makeups.
Find the missed class under Past.
Select Schedule Makeup.
Choose an available class.
Submit your booking.

The system does a final availability check before confirming your booking—popular classes can fill up quickly! If the class is no longer available, you’ll be prompted to choose another. A confirmation message will appear once your makeup is successfully booked.

know you’re going to miss an upcoming class?

Go to Absences → Schedule Absences.
Select the class your little one will miss.
Submit the absence.
Select Schedule Makeup.
Choose an available class.
Submit your booking.

When you let us know about an upcoming absence, your regular spot can become available for another currently enrolled student to use as a makeup.

It's a little win-win!

why can’t i find a makeup class?

Makeup classes are based on available space in our existing classes, so a makeup spot isn't guaranteed.

If you don't see the class you're looking for, it may be because:

The class is already full.
There isn't enough space available for a makeup student.
The class is outside of our Week 2–7 makeup window.
The makeup class is less than 12 hours away.
There simply isn't a suitable opening at that time.

Don't see anything that works at your usual location?

Take a look at our other Jump Gymnastics locations!

You don't have to take your makeup at the same location as your regular class. If there's space at another location that works better for your schedule, you're welcome to book it there.

Think of it as a little gymnastics adventure.

a few important things to know

makeups are for currently enrolled students

Makeup classes are available to students who are currently enrolled in the term in which the missed class occurred.

The makeup opportunity belongs to that term and must be completed before the term ends.

Being registered for the next term does not extend a makeup from the previous term.

makeup classes are not guaranteed

We'd love to have a spot available for every makeup request, but we can't guarantee that a specific class, day, time or location will have space.

Our regular enrolled students always have priority in their scheduled classes, and makeups are added only when there is available space.

you don't have to take a makeup

Makeups are an extra perk we offer to families — they're not something you have to use.

We know that fitting an additional class into your family's schedule isn't always easy, so if you miss a class and can't find a makeup that works, that's okay.

please let us know when you're going to be absent

If you know your little one won't be attending their regular class, please mark them absent or reach out to Client Services.

When a family lets us know they're going to miss a class, we can make that space available for another currently enrolled student who may be looking for a makeup.
