Are parents allowed to watch while their children are attending class?
Yes! If it’s a parent participation class then of course you’ll be in the gym sharing the fun with your little one. Otherwise feel free to watch the class from the comfort of our parent’s lounge. Or zip out to enjoy the neighbourhood.
Do I have to stay to watch my child?
If its not parent participation, then you aren’t required to stay. If your child is enrolled in Jump!three we suggest you observe for a class or two to see how they are doing without your participation.
Should my child attend if he or she is sick?
No. A makeup class can be done at a later date in the session.
My child missed a class, how do I book a make-up class?
Call or contact our office and together we can find an available time that works for you.
How many students are there per instructor?
Class size ratios vary depending on the class to address the specific developmental needs at each step. Parent participation classes (babyJump!, Jump! One & Jump! Two) will have up to ten registered students. This size allows the instructor to spend individual time with each child and parent.
Our three programs for older Jump! kids offer the lowest ratios in the city.
Jump!Three, is especially designed to address the social development needs of children enrolled in their first “on their own” class. The ratio is 4:1.
juniorJump! and seniorJump! still provides opportunity for extensive one on one interaction, but offers a slightly larger class size to match the child’s growing social confidence. The ratio is 6:1.
Do you welcome children with special needs?
Yes! We are a family-centered program and would love to work with you to develop an IGP (Individualized Gymnastics Plan) to ensure that your child has everything they need to thrive in our classes.
Can I bring a sibling along to a parent participation class?
Only those children who are registered may participate in the class. Babies who are not yet mobile and who can be carried in a child carrier or safely secured in a car seat or stroller may enter the gym with you. Your hands must be free to assist your child.
Can a friend or cousin attend a class with my child?
For insurance purposes, and in order to provide the necessary attention to those children registered, only those children who are registered may participate in the class.
What should my child wear?
Stretchy and comfortable, but not overly loose clothing is best. Your child does not need a special leotard for class. All skirts and dresses as well as pants with zippers/buttons should be avoided.
Can I reserve the same class time for the next session?
Priority will be given to current families who wish to enroll their child in the same class for the next session, and then, if space permits to change class times. Registration will then be opened up to returning families who missed the previous session and to new families.
Where can I park my car?
There is plenty of metered parking right out front, a Parkade just across the street at 858 Beatty and an Impark lot just around the corner on Robson. Also, for the lucky, there is unmetered parking on the 900 block of Beatty (east side of the street).
How do I get there driving?
Directions to Jump! from points around the city can be found on our Facility page (hyperlink)
How do I get there by Public Transit?
The #15 Cambie/Downtown runs within two blocks of Jump!, and there are plenty of other options.
If coming by SkyTrain, get off at Stadium Station and take the upper street level (Beatty Street) exit. Walk 2 blocks southbound on Beatty Street.
Plan your route online.
