City Farmer Since 1978, City Farmer has been encouraging city dwellers to be more "green" - by composting, starting a herb garden, whatever you can do! And they provide workshops and tips to help everyone get started.
We are so excited that City Farmer will present another workshop on worm composting during our full day summer camps! In the first workshop we learned the parts of a worms' body, what they eat, how they compost our food, and other fun facts about worms. The next workshop will be held on Wednesday, August 7th. Check out our other great camp activities, or sign your kids up to learn all about worm composting!
Drama Games with Terri
We are so excited for an afternoon of drama games on Monday, July 22nd! Campers will play games like Name That Tune Charades, and Paper Bag Dramatics (curious? we are too!).
So join Terri, an Early Childhood Education teacher with fourteen years experience, for the most dynamic guest workshop yet!
"Tales About Whales" with Lisa
Meet Lisa. Lisa has a Biology degree, and ten years of experience teaching at the Vancouver Aquarium. In her dynamic workshop, your children will learn what a whale is, which whales live near us, and even how to make a whale.
We are looking forward to learning all about whales on Thursday, July 4th with Lisa. See you there!
Music with Hannah
Meet Hannah. She has been working with Music for Young Children for the past 11 years. Their goals is to "provide the best quality music education to young children by blending the pleasure and the joy of music making with sound instruction." Learn more here.
We are so happy that Hannah will be one of our guest speakers this summer at full day camp! Children aged 4-7 can join us on Wednesday, August 28th for Hannah's music workshop. We can't wait!
